People Profile

Ian Nurden

I started riding a converted road bike in the fields at the age of 16, maturing on through the motocross, representing the country in 1982 in Holland at an international meeting. In 1983 I fractured my leg through the knee joint and was unable to work for a year due to this injury and I gave up the racing for some 25 years until my oldest son, Chris, reached the age of 23 and wanted to take up racing, which he did and when I started riding around the field with him got the bug back and started racing in Enduro’s last year, competing in the British Championships finishing 9th in my class, after dropping two rounds due to injury. I started out this year with a good ride in the first round.
